Nationwide Bankruptcy Noticing Has Been Disrupted
The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts has reported that systems supporting the Bankruptcy Noticing Center were affected by a cybersecurity incident.
As a result, normal BNC production and distribution of bankruptcy notices has been interrupted.
Individual bankruptcy courts have responded differently. Some courts have temporarily assigned responsibility for mailing certain notices and orders to debtor attorneys, trustees, debtors or other parties.
Because requirements vary by district and notice type, your firm should review the applicable court order and rules before determining the required recipients, mailing method and deadline.
Certified Mail Labels provides the document-production and mailing infrastructure to carry out the mailing instructions you provide.
Bankruptcy Notice Fulfillment for Law Firms and Trustees
Use Bankruptcy Notice Continuity for court-directed mailings including, when applicable:
- Notices of Bankruptcy Case and §341 Meetings of Creditors

- Discharge orders
- Payroll deduction orders
- Court orders delegated for service
- Trustee notices
- Creditor notices
- Other bankruptcy notices your firm is responsible for serving
Availability and mailing requirements depend upon the applicable court order, Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, local rules and individual case circumstances.

3. Select the Mailing Service

Certified Mail is not required for every bankruptcy notice. Your firm selects the service appropriate to the applicable rule, court order or legal requirement.
4. We Print and Mail
Certified Mail Labels produces the mailing according to your submitted instructions and prepares the pieces for USPS entry.
5. Receive Mailing Records
Download detailed records showing the documents processed, recipients, mailing services selected, production information and available USPS evidence.
Evidence Built for Compliance Workflows
A postage label alone is not the same as proof that a mailpiece was physically accepted by USPS.
Our evidence workflow is designed to preserve the individual stages of the mailing process, including available records for:
- Order creation
- Document version
- Recipient address
- Postage generation
- Production
- Mailing manifest
- USPS handoff and available acceptance information
- Tracking events where applicable
- Delivery attempts where available
- Delivery where available
- Electronic Return Receipt where purchased and available
- Mailing exceptions
These records can assist your firm in maintaining its internal service documentation and preparing certificates of service.
Certified Mail Labels does not determine whether service is legally sufficient and does not prepare legal certifications on behalf of counsel.

Important Compliance Information
The Bankruptcy Noticing Center disruption has resulted in different temporary procedures across federal bankruptcy courts.
Certified Mail Labels is a printing, mailing and technology provider. We are not the Bankruptcy Noticing Center, a federal court, a law firm or a legal-advice service.
Customers are responsible for determining:
- which parties must receive notice;
- which address must be used;
- the required mailing or service method;
- applicable deadlines;
- applicable court orders and rules; and
- whether the resulting service is legally sufficient.
Always consult the governing court order, Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, local rules and qualified counsel.
