In 2023, the United States Postal Service (USPS) saw a total mail volume of 116.1 billion. While impressive, it was a dip in volume compared to the year prior which boasted 127.3 billion. Surprisingly, the decrease in volume only translated to a revenue decrease of 0.4% year over year. This margin is credited to the increase in package revenue as mail revenue declined.
